Crochet Pattern Baby Blanket 'Bloem'

May I introduce you to my latest design:
Baby Blanket 'Bloem' wich means Flower in Dutch.
Why I named her Flower may be obvious.
This blanket in an ideal baby size 95 x 65 centimeters is crocheted in the illusion technique.
Which means both sides are equally beautiful but the colors are reversed.
The pattern explains how to crochet this technique.

What I can tell you in advance is that the basic technique is tapestry crochet.

Mag ik jullie voorstellen aan mijn nieuwste ontwerp:
Babydeken 'Bloem'
Waarom ik haar Bloem noemde mag duidelijk zijn.
Deze deken in een ideale baby formaat 95 x 65 centimeter wordt gehaakt in de illusie techniek.
Wat betekend dat beide kanten even mooi zijn maar de kleuren zijn omgekeerd.
In het patroon wordt uitgelegd hoe je deze techniek haakt.

Wat ik je alvast kan verklappen dat de basis techniek tapestry haken is.

I was lucky enough to have a baby born in my circle of friends, which immediately made taking pictures of this blanket a blast!
You can't imagine a better model.
As you can see it is a perfect size for the playpen or crib.

I crocheted her with 1 ball of Whirl and 2 balls of Whirlette.
A perfect (baby) combination of 60% cotton and 40% acrylic.

Ik had het geluk dat er een babytje geboren was in mijn vriendenkring, dat maakte foto's maken van deze deken meteen al een feestje!
Een beter model kun je je niet voorstellen.
Zoals je ziet is het een perfecte maat voor in de box of ledikant.

Ik haakte haar met 1 bol Whirl en 2 bollen Whirlette.
Een perfecte (baby) combinatie van 60% katoen en 40% acryl.​

But even if you have nothing with babies, this can be a very nice pattern.
I also crocheted her as a cool black/white home accessory with Scheepjes Colour Crafter.
This gives a totally different effect.
On the pictures above you can clearly see the difference between the front and back side.

Maar ook als je niks met baby's hebt kan dit een erg leuk patroon zijn.
Ik haakte haar ook als stoer zwart/wit woonaccesoire met Scheepjes Colour Crafter.
Dit geeft weer een heel ander effect.
Op bovenstaande foto's kun je trouwens heel goed het verschil in voor en achterkant zien.​

The pattern is fully written out but also includes a shortened version.
Also included is an easy counting pattern for when you get the hang of it.

Het patroon is volledig uitgeschreven maar bevat ook een verkorte versie.
