Pattern 'Little Jellyfish' Poncho

Why this name?

Ik haakte deze poncho vorige zomer al en de werknaam was al die tijd 'bollen poncho'
Nu ik dit voorjaar het patroon aan het uitwerken was en er dus ook een naam moest komen kon ik niks passends vinden.

Tot het seizoen weer begon en we weer naar de boot konden.
De rust van het op het water zijn nam weer bezit van me.
Ik staarde naar het heldere water en verbaasde me erover hoe ontspannen het kon zijn om naar kwallen te kijken.
Ik nam een stukje op met mijn telefoon, maar dat dekte de lading niet.
Het is het geheel van het zonnetje, het kabbelende water, het briesje en de vele kwalletjes die zo heerlijk met de stroming aan het spelen zijn.

Dit gevoel vatte precies samen wat ik ook voelde toen ik een jaar daarvoor aan deze poncho haakte.
Een heerlijk ontspannen gevoel, luchtig, alles mag en niets moet, een beetje spelen.
​En daar is deze poncho uit ontstaan.

I crocheted this poncho last summer and the working name was ' poncho with dots' all along.
The pattern was almost ready so she had to get a name, but I couldn't find anything suitable.

Until the season started and we could go to the boat again.
I forgot how peaceful it feels of being on the water
I stared at the clear water and marveled at how relaxed it could be to just watch jellyfish.
I try to film it with my phone, but that didn't cover it at all.
It is the whole picture, the combination of the sun, the rippling water, the breeze, and the many jellyfish that are playing so wonderfully with the current.

This feeling summed up exactly what I also felt when I hooked this poncho a year earlier.
A wonderfully relaxed feeling, airy, everything is allowed and nothing is necessary, a bit of play.
And that is why this poncho called Little Jellyfish.

Different ways to wear

Deze poncho wordt van 1 bol Scheepjes Whirl gehaakt en dan krijg je net als ik op de foto een korte poncho die je op 2 of eigenlijk 3 manieren kunt dragen.
Recht zoals op de foto hierboven, en met de punt naar voren zoals een 'traditionele' poncho.
Op de bovenste foto draag ik hem a-symetrisch, zo vind ik hem zelf het leukst staan.
Deze poncho is one-size- its -all, maar wil je hem wat groter dan is het patroon eenvoudig te herhalen.
Hiervoor kun je een bijpassende bol Scheepjes Whirlette gebruiken.

Ik vind deze poncho echt een alleskunner, zoals ik hem draag op de foto is het echt een blikvanger op een simpel zwart jurkje.
Maar ook sportief op een spijkerbroek zal hij erg leuk staan.
Bovendien is het een extra laagje wanneer het wat frisser is.

With just 1 ball of Scheepjes Whirl, you get a short poncho that you can wear in 2 or actually 3 ways.
Straight as in the photo above, and like a 'traditional' poncho with the point in the front.
In the top photo, I wear it asymmetrically, that's how I like it the most.
This poncho is one-size-fits-all, but if you want it larger, the pattern is easy to repeat.
You can use a matching ball of Scheepjes Whirlette for this.

I think this poncho is for many people. 
As I wear it in the photo, it is really an eye-catcher on a simple black dress.
But it will also look great on a pair of jeans.
Moreover, it is an extra layer when it is a bit cooler.

Voor deze poncho maakte ik gebruik van de techniek, filet haken.
Met deze techniek haak je luchtige kleding, gordijntjes en bijvoorbeeld dekens.
Door de afwisseling van stokjes en lossen kun je leuke patronen creëren, wat het haakwerk leuk maakt om naar te kijken maar vooral ook om te haken!

Het patroon van deze poncho bestaat uit een uitgeschreven patroon met begeleidende chart.
Voor beginners is de uitgeschreven tekst makkelijk, voor de degene met meer ervaring in het filethaken is het schema juist weer heel handig.
Ik haakte deze poncho met haaknaald 3.5

I used the technique filet crochet for this poncho.

The pattern of this poncho consists of a written pattern with an additional scheme.
The written text should be more useful for the beginners, while the more experienced crocheter will benefit more from the chart. 
I crocheted this poncho with crochet hook 3.5.
